Alberta’s revised guidelines on school books will prohibit works containing explicit images of sexual acts, but not written descriptions, according to a new ministerial order published Monday.
While this pitch and chase weren’t particularly challenging, the production was especially complicated due to the demands of covering breaking news. The details surrounding the book ban were changing by the minute, and I had to continually shift the story’s focus while maintaining both credibility and balancing the public’s sense of outrage.
